A Family Owned Business

Worsham Mobile Home Park is proud to have been family owned and operated for over 50 years, beginning with the vision of William Leslie Worsham in the early 1950's. Mr. Worsham, a Richmond builder, traveled often to Florida where he came to realize that a "trailer park" could be beautiful and affordable community. He started with the placement of twelve lots on an empty piece of land on Hull Street Road in what was then the county of Chesterfield and considered "country." At that time each lot was provided a concrete slab "patio" and clothes lines for the convenience of those who rented the land. To enhance the park Mr. Worsham planted trees and shrubs for added beauty. He arranged to have all electrical lines placed underground to allow unobstructed views.

Mr. Worsham continued to expand the park until the 1980's. The area around the park continued to grow and the City of Richmond annexed this area, providing much needed transportation and other services to the community.

Following his death, Mr. Worsham's daughters, Virginia Worsham Kreynus and Janet Worsham inherited the park where they  continued to respect their father's desire for an attractive, safe and well maintained family community. Both Virginia and Janet served as school teachers in Richmond City and later in Chesterfield County Public Schools. Following Virginia's death in 2022 her son, Christopher has taken over as CEO and General Manager of the property.
